Truly, my sister is a gem,
and has been like a second mother for a large part of the last 5 years.
I landed and she was waiting for me at the airport already.
But not just waiting, you see, but waiting with fruit, a granola bar, and a diet coke. [in true Jess fashion]
You see, airport food is rough and I had just gotten off a long flight,
and of course she thought the whole thing through.
But it didn't end there!
She drove me home and my guest bathroom was adorned with gifts and fresh flowers.
A cupcake, dark chocolate truffles, and a good book for the week.
She gets me better than I get me, I sometimes think.
We walked the freedom trail and stayed up until midnight every night,
and I mostly mugged on my unbelievably darling and chubby niece.
Fortunately, being with Jess, I get more pictures myself than I typically do.
Unfortunately, we really don't get a lot of pictures together.
